We just finished with the 5th-8th grade play based around 1001 Arabian Nights! It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun!

We had a double birthday in fifth grade, so we celebrated at merienda (snack/break/recess time)! This is the entire 5th grade class with Mrs. Templin, the teacher!
Faith Academy is an amazing school. The majority of students are missionary kids, but there are also some kids "business kids," kids whose parents are here for business. We have mostly Americans and Koreans, but there are also various Hispanic decents, Canadians, Australians, British, Filipinos, and every mix imaginable! I love it! Each child represents a different culture, and we are all mixed together in the love of God!
5th grade has seven students: Jessica, American but just moved to the Philippines from the Middle East; Lia, American but spend most of her life here; Flora, just got here a couple weeks ago from Korea; Dream, Korean but lived here most of her life; Kagen, American and came last year; Moses, Korean but spent most of life here; SJ, Korean but spent most of life here; and Mrs. Templin, American and came here a few years ago. Such a diverse group! They're such a joy! My first week with them I obseved and helped out with all the play preperations. My second week I taught math and still helped with the play which was Friday and Saturday nights. I even wore a costume becuase I stayed on the stage throughout the play, prompting and trying to stay hidden! This next week I will teach math, Bible, science, and history. I feel very comfortable in the classroom and I am so blessed by that! Thank you for your prayers! That was the only thing I was nervous about, but I'm doing great! I have an incredible class and I love my teacher!
I am actually officially living with Mrs. Templin and another teacher who just returned from furlough, Miss Ruth. I am blessed to have such a wonderful home to live in with great roommates!
I am so happy and I love it here! It's crazy hot all the time, but it's beautiful! I've already had so many great adventures! Keep praying! I am trying to decide what ministry I would like to get involved with outside of school, there are so many opportunities! Thank you again!
Sounds awesome Alanna :) I'm glad the Lord is blessing your time so incredibly!
